White Willow Bark: White Willow Bark has been used for centuries in China and North America for its abilities to relive pain, inflammation and reduce fever.
White Willow Bark has a taste of BITTER, ASTRINGENT and a temperature of COOL.
The active constituent in White Willow Bark is salicin, which the body converts into salicylic acid. It operates on the body in essentially the same way as aspirin, only milder. It takes slightly longer to take effect, but its effects last longer and do not cause stomach upset.
Specifically, White Willow Bark may help to relieve acute and chronic pain such as headaches, arthritis pain, back and neck pain, muscle aches and menstrual cramps.
