Joe Bright, L.Ac. - General Manager
Joe is the force behind Secara's line of herbal formulas and products for the future. Joe came to Secara with a background in raw herbs sourcing and sales having formerly worked for Asia Natural Products as Sales and Marketing Manager. With a Masters of TCM from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a licensed practitioner he has a solid feel for the needs of other practitioners in this growing market. Joe got his start in Chinese Medicine and martial arts 11 years ago while living in NYC as a freelance artist and calligrapher. Having studied under various Chinese Masters of medicine, Taiji Quan, and Qigong in China and the U.S., and even winning a gold medal in Taiji Quan competition in China, Joe is perfectly suited for the blending of East and West that Secara represents.

Jennifer Nelson - Operations Manager
Jennifer anchors our daily operations, and takes care of our production and logistics. She formerly worked as Clinical and Operations Manager for Chinese Medicine Works, the San Francisco based herbal clinic of Efrem Korngold and Harriet Beinfield, authors of Between Heaven and Earth and creators of Chinese Modular Solutions. Her background includes professional and Fine Arts photography which brings a level of creativity and attention to detail that enlivens our work environment. Jen's other work in green includes a magical green thumb in the garden. In fact Jen finds herself surrounded by herbs all day long between working at Secara or in her own garden, and taking the herbs her practitioner husband has prescribed for health and well-being.

Christopher Hobbs L.Ac., A.H.G. - Chief Herbalist
Chris is responsible for the philosophy behind Secara's line of traditional Chinese herbal medicine. Chris is a world-renowned fourth-generation herbalist with over 30 years of herbal experience, and is the author of 30 books on herbs and supplements. Chris Co-Founded Rainbow Light, was Co-Founder of the American Herbalists Guild, serves on the advisory board of the American Botanical Council, and was formerly Vice President of the American Herbal Products Association. He studied TCM at the Hangzhou School of TCM in China.

Lee Holden, L.Ac. - Secara Qi Gong Master
Lee Holden is a Senior Instructor for the International Healing Tao. Lee has taught meditation, qi gong, yoga, and tai chi for the last fifteen years. He has been the Chief Editor for Master Mantak Chia for numerous projects. Lee has taught workshops throughout the United States, Europe, and South East Asia. Lee has been on staff with Mantak Chia and Deepak Chopra, teaching, writing, and facilitating seminars and workshops. Currently, Lee teaches at Five Branches Institute for Chinese Medicine, Twin Lakes College of Massage, and is the founder of Pacific Healing Tao in Northern California. Lee is a graduate of U.C., Berkeley, with a BA in Psychology, and is a licensed acupuncturist.
